We call our style “home owner’s obedience!”  It’s obedience training for real life…with real results for life.  You will learn how to prevent, not punish… and how to communicate, not dominate… using anticipation, management, and motivation So many “behavioral problems” stem from simply not understanding that dogs do not and can not think, learn, or understand the way people do.  They can’t talk, and that tells us they don’t have a vocabulary.  However, they are phenomenal communicators and far better at it than we are. Our inboard program includes all the training, all the boarding, at least 5 hours of private lessons (mid term, graduation, and follow up) for you and your family (or anyone you choose to bring), their collar, a bath before they go home, and a diploma.  Plus, for the rest of their lives you get unlimited extra help, no extra charge, just call to make an appointment.  . Come by and let us show you around so you can see how your dog will be cared for while here.  Meet our staff…soon to be your dog’s new friends.  No, they won’t forget you but we will not take puppies or even older dogs until you’ve had them 4-6 weeks for healthy bonding. And yes, you can visit!  The ideal age to start is between 4 and 8 months of age, depending on the breed.  It is best not to wait until their “teen-age” stages…imagine if we didn’t start teaching manners to our kids until then!  Behavioral problems can be completely avoided by establishing good communication before problems start.  However, it is not true that “you can’t teach old dog new tricks!”  We work with adult dogs too.  Remember though, that old habits are harder to change. What will your dog learn?  On leash to, heel, sit, down, stay, and come.  We will start off-leash, sit stay, down stay, and come from a distance. What will you learn?  How to use, not just command, the training.  Your involvement is a must, or unwanted behavior will likely return.  Using it means no more jumping on the company when you open the door, no more knocking over the kids and their friends, no more pulling you through the neighborhood, or just about anything else you want to teach them.   All inclusive 575 (75 deposit, 250 at beginning, 250 at graduation) Please call for available dates to plan ahead for the best date based on your dog/puppy’s age and breed.  A reservation and deposit are necessary, as we usually have a waiting list.     All Knowledge, the totality of all questions and answers, is contained in the dog. -Franz Kafka
